16th May 2020: One day practical workshop. Open to full and student members.

This course is to be held at Edgworth Polo Club, Edgworth, Stroud, GL6 7EF

The workshop will take place over one day and will involve attendees treating at least two horses. All horses that require sedation will be sedated by an onsite veterinary surgeon in order to carry out any treatment needed.

 The horses being treated are of all ages.

The day is aimed at 4 groups,

  • members needing to attend a practical workshop (mandatory to attend one every 3 years)
  • members who recognise the benefit of these days as good practice and improving links between all in the BAEDT
  • Student members wishing to gain advanced case studies or get feedback on the level of their work and theory knowledge
  • members who are located oversee and who may struggle to attend regular CPD days, due to it being held the day before the AGM. Dental equipment can be provided by course organiser to remove the necessity of bring you own. (offered to candidates traveling from abroad only)

A light lunch will be provided after completion of the day.

Course fees:  £75 if paid before the 1st May 2020, £100 thereafter. Course fees are non-refundable but can be transferred over to future courses.

The course will not be limited in numbers.

Friday 18th  September 2020: One day practical pre exam submission workshop. Open to full and student members.

This course is to be held at Nutshell Farm, Walls Lane, Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, PE25 1JH

The workshop will take place over one day and will involve attendees treating at least two horses. All horses that require sedation will be sedated by an onsite veterinary surgeon in order to carry out any treatment needed.

The equines being treated are of all ages. 

The day is aimed at 4 groups,

· members needing to attend a practical workshop (mandatory to attend one every 3 years)

· members who recognise the benefit of these days as good practice and improving link between all in the BAEDT

· Student members wishing to gain advanced case studies or get feedback on the level of their work and theory knowledge

·  Candidates wishing to submit their case studies in person and have them prechecked prior to the submission stage. 

A light lunch will be provided. 

Course fees:  £75 if paid before the 4th September 2020, £100 thereafter. Course fees are non-refundable but can be transferred over to future courses. 

The course will be limited to 25 people

Sept 21st 2020: One day practical workshop, Open to full members only.

This course is to be held at Holybrook House, Buckfastleigh, TQ11 0HW home to the racehorse trainer Mr J Frost

The workshop will take place over one day and will involve attendees treating at least two horses. All horses that require sedation will be sedated by an onsite veterinary surgeon in order to carry out any treatment needed. Due to the nature of the horses being in training and running under rules the hope would to complete most of the work without the need for sedation.

The horses being treated are of all ages.

The day is aimed at 2 groups,

·    members needing to attend a practical workshop (mandatory to attend one every 3 years)

·   members who recognise the benefit of these days as good practice and improving link between all in the BAEDT

A light lunch will be provided.

Course fees:  £100 if paid before the 1st September 2020, £150 thereafter. Course fees are non-refundable but can be transferred over to future courses.

The course will be limited to 18 people

17th May 2020: BAEDT Annual General Meeting, Open to full and student members. Hartpury College

The AGM is mandatory to attend once every 3 year although many members attend annually as it is the best way to keep up to date with any changes both regarding the BAEDT and legislation of the equine dental profession. It is also a great time to catch up with colleagues.

Lunch and complimentary scrub top will be provided if place is booked by 15 April 2020
